Invention Disclosure Forms are for your use in reporting your inventions as called for in the Collected Rules and Regulations of the University of Missouri, Section 100.020. UM Form 16C has been designed for the reporting of inventions that have reached a stage of development that allows for patenting and marketing consideration. Upon receipt of your Invention Disclosure Form, your campus technology transfer office (TTO) will perform a technical and market assessment of the technology. The information contained in the Invention Disclosure Form is very important. All future licensing possibilities and patent decisions rely on the information you provide in this form. Plant Varities:
Those seed and/or plant varieties that can be protected under PVPA certification through USDA should be reported on Form UM 16D “Plant Variety Disclosure Form”, with a copy of any PVPA applications attached. The Plant Variety Disclosure Form has been designed for the reporting of seed and plant varieties that qualify for Plant Variety Protection Certification. The information contained in the form is very important and all decisions made by the University regarding the seed/plant variety rely on the information you provide in this form.
